 Dan McCormick, Secretary
Dan McCormick was born and raised in Slayton, Minnesota. McCormick graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's of Science Degree in Forest Resource Development. He worked forestry related jobs in Minnesota, Wyoming, Arkansas and South Dakota. Dan was employed with the South Dakota Department of Agriculture, Resource Conservation and Forestry Division for 25 years.
Work for the Resource Conservation and Forestry Division included positions in forest management in the Black Hills, plains or windbreak forestry as a District Forester in Pierre, fire training as the State Fire Training Specialist and community forestry as the State Urban and Community Forestry Specialist. In 2002, Dan took a position with the Department of Game, Fish and Parks as a Regional Habitat Manager.
