Mike Butts -

I would like to thank everyone who considered me for and elected me to the board of directors with the South Dakota Arborists Association (SDArA).  I look forward to working with all members in the future.

I am currently employed as a General Foreman with Asplundh Tree Expert Company.  I have been with ATE since May 2000.  Prior to this I worked for several small tree companies and myself doing both residential and line clearance tree work.  I was introduced to tree work in the early 80s while stationed at Fort Bragg, NC.

My family and I moved to South Dakota after I retired from the US Army Special Forces in 1997.   I currently live about 7 miles west of Huron with my wife, Rhonda.  I have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren who reside in Huron.

In my spare time I run a small commercial fishing operation as a contractor with the SD Game, Fish & Parks.  My hobbies/interests include hunting, fishing, trapping and decoy carving.
